Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by me, Tif, and Della! If you want to know more, read about it here!
This week’s featured blogger is Jessica from Sweet Little Ones! She is just the sweetest wife and mom around. Her blog focuses on the daily life, but she’s also passionate about educating people about the adoption process. Just couldn’t ask for a more uplifting, fun blog! She also has an amazing Etsy shop with such cute printables, but she can also do custom graphic design work for bloggers! But seriously, aren’t her prints awesome? If you’re designing a gallery wall, they would be perfect! If you see anything you like, Jessica is offering a 20% off code just for us H54F’ers! Use the code HighFive20 between now and next Friday, May 27. Head over now!
And now on to what we’ve been up to this week! (Spoiler alert – no baby)
1. I feel bad that the last post you got from me was LAST Friday’s H54F. I had all sorts of grand plans to catch up on blogging, but then I keep dozing off at about 2:30 every afternoon… At this rate the “what’s in my hospital bag” post/video will be a “what I actually used at the hospital” post. Ugh.
2. Yesterday Elizabeth had her last day of school for the year. Where has the time gone??? I meant to snap a picture of her, but she was surly when we got home, so I prioritized a nap over pictures of her scowling. But this was her when school started last September!
3. Speaking of Elizabeth, we also decided this week to film a “Meet Elizabeth” video (if you missed the last one, watch it here). I had such a willing participant at 2 years old. And this time? At 2.5 years old? Not so willing….. I need to edit it up if nothing else for a laugh! She participated for about 2 of the 11 minutes of filming. HAHA!
4. In anticipation of going in to labor at SOME point, I decided I needed to slap some polish on my fingers and toes. The fingernails? Easy! The toenails…. impossible. The pretzel-like position I had to maneuver into in order to get sort of kind of close enough to touch the brush to the nail was downright painful. So I’m determined, if I make it to next week, I’m popping in for a pedicure somewhere. Anywhere!
5. Anyone buy something from LulaRoe? What’s your favorite piece??? I’ve got the bug to buy something from them, because it just looks plain comfy! But I hate that I can’t see anything in person without a party of some sort… so soliciting feedback! You can tell I’m itching to not be pregnant anymore. I’m constantly day dreaming of things to buy. I already bought a few items from my post-pregnancy wish list, and I’m itching for a few more.
What were you up to this week? Let me know!

Happy Friday! I bet you are so ready to have your baby. The last few days feel like a lifetime! Can’t wait to hear the news!
These last few days are DRAGGING! But I’m trying to remember to enjoy this while it lasts… but it’s hard 🙂 Have a great weekend!!
You’ll be seeing your toes soon enough. LulaRoe, my daughter buys from them and she has been happy with every piece. We saw a booth at a local festival and she bought from them for Hannah. So success story here. I was thinking about you this week regarding potty training. Our Hannah has decided she is done with using a toilet….my daughter is ready to throw in the towel on this.
Ignorance is bliss with my toes. Who cares if the polish is chipped?? Can’t see them!! 🙂 Oh Hannah!! Your daughter – totally feel her pain…. you’re not sure if you should just consider this a temporary set back and keep plugging away with potty training, or say “it’s not worth it” and wait for the kiddo to come back when they’re ready. Mercy! So frustrating after the work that goes into it. Thinking of her and standing with her in Mom Solidarity!
Happy Friday! It’s crazy how fast the school year flies by when kids are young! That picture of your daughter on her first day is so cute! Congrats on having a baby really soon! How exciting!
Thank you!!! Hope you’re having a fun weekend 🙂
I just went to my first LuLaRoe party that my best friend hosted. I bought a red patterned maxi skirt that I’m excited to wear. I think they are really comfy and can second as a maxi dress if you get the right size I guess. They did have cute stuff!

That’s good to know! It’s just so hard to commit to something new without being able to try it on first. Love the idea of the Maxi skirt doubly as a dress!
Aw man I was able to try my skirt on! I feel you, I need to try things on before I commit 🙂
Those prints are sooo cute!!

Aren’t they??? Love them all!
hahaha Your weren’t kidding about needing to paint your toenails before seeing the doctor! Solidarity!! (Although if I hadn’t been able to reach my toes, they definitely would not have been painted for the podiatrist!) Looking forward to another Elizabeth video–she is such a hoot (and not to mention CUTE!)! And I’m intrigued by LulaRoe too–a friend of mine was wearing their leggings one day, and they’re sooo soft! Hope you guys have a great weekend!
HAHA I read your post about your toes right after I was lamenting about my own. So the timing was perfect 😉 I keep hearing the leggings are the must try item. I’m not a leggings girl, BUT their patterns are adorable!!
Happy Friday! I was the same way with trying to paint my toes right before I had baby #2, basically impossible. My little guy came almost 10 days late so I did make it to a nail salon. All the best to you and your family and prayers for a speedy and safe delivery. Beautifully Candid
Thank you!!! And I’m definitely going to try to squeeze it in this week. If the baby doesn’t squeeze out 🙂
I hope you know I love LuLaRoe! I’d go for a fun skirt for the summer. All of their tees are super forgiving for the post baby body, too!
I knew there was someone who loved it!! The baseball style tee in particular has me intrigued for the shirts. I just love all the fun patterns. And you have some of their dresses too, right?
I love that you feel the need to have a mani and pedi before giving birth! Can’t wait to see that video with Elizabeth – she’s such a ham! 🙂
The video may be the shortest in history… BUT funny at least 🙂
I haven’t even tried to touch my toes but I’m guessing it would be a no. haha. Anytime I have to bend down at work I struggle getting up!
Bending is always accompanied with a grunt and a curse. But seriously, trying to paint my toenails was just a big fail. I couldn’t figure out where to put my foot to reach it!! HAHA!
You must be so ready to have your baby! That pedicure story is so funny, except for the fact that it was painful! I hope your weekend is amazing!

I may have exaggerated the pain 🙂 But it was sure TOUGH!! Like a bad workout or something. SIgh… one day I’ll be able to do that again.
I can’t believe the kiddos are already wrapping up the school year! And how pretty are those printables?! LOVE! Happy Friday 🙂

All the printables are just so pretty!!!
I am just going to say that I hated the last days of pregnancy with a passion and I’m hoping you can go ahead and deliver that little guy ASAP! xoxoxoxo
I hate the last few weeks too. Seems like it would take forever to get here, but it flew by. NOW we’re at a crawl… sigh…
It’s crazy how fast the school year has flown by! We have a little over a month left here before summer vacation. I have heard lots of good things about LuLaRoe but have not tried it myself. Good luck on your last few weeks of pregnancy and have a great weekend!
The school year just whizzed by. Can’t believe it! You’re in the final countdown too for end of school. Hooray! Hope you all are having a great weekend!
Your daughter is so cute! I thought about looking for a local moms group for summer time. A little nervous but also excited to meet some new mommies!
Thank you! And I hope you find something!! Seriously, the mom groups have been life savers for me finding a sweet group of close friends. Bonus that our kiddos are the same age and can play together! MOPS is a popular, national moms’ group organization, but also check out your local churches, or even FB for groups! In our town there are probably 5 or so Mom Play Date/Meet Up type groups that have FB pages. Good luck!!
Those prints are gorgeous!
Aren’t they pretty??? So affordable and coordinated that they’d all look amazing together for a gallery wall!
I’m excited for the meet Elizabeth video, even if she’s not cooperating, I’m sure it will still be cute! Kids are so funny at that age! I hope you will have time for a pedicure, you should get to do something fun and relaxing before baby comes! Hope you had a great weekend!
She definitely wasn’t cooperating, even with the fun of being able to see herself in the camera… le sigh… but there will be something! It at least will be a testament to what she’s really like these days HAHA! Happy Monday!
