TGIF! Another fast week. Man… before you know it, it will be Christmas!
1. We had a pretty busy, but fun weekend! Saturday we had a house full of people for a church potluck. Tons of fun! And then Sunday afternoon my Bible study group had a little Autumn party. Elizabeth kept giggling and crawling straight for the stairs and quickly crawling up them. Sneaky sneaky!
2. I was just casually scrolling through my various social media spots, and noticed I hit 300 followers on Instagram and 100 subscribers on YouTube!! Both of these accounts are just for the blog, not my personal account, so I’m pretty chuffed! So thank you!
3. I couldn’t help it – I went to Target and bought a few clothes items. This, of course, means I can’t wear them until after the 30 Outfits in 30 Days Challenge ends, but it’s just hard to resist the pull of the Target clothes department. But I ended up grabbing a knit navy dress. Pretty basic, but versatile! I didn’t bother trying it on, because trying on clothes with a child is a nightmare.  So I get home, try on the dress, and am shocked at how big it was! I couldn’t believe that my normal Medium size was so spacious! I check the label – an XL. Ooops!! So back to Target I go 🙂
4. In Elizabeth news, she got two new toys! One was a hiking backpack. We aren’t serious backpackers, but the Baby Bjorn just wasn’t cutting it anymore for our local 3 miler hikes. So we opted for this one. It’s lightweight, easy to buckle her in, and she loves sitting in it! I wouldn’t recommend it if you are doing all day backpacking, but for general hiking, it gets the job done.
She also got a birthday gift from some sweet friends. It’s one of those walker toys, and it took all of 5 seconds for her to figure it out and push it around the house 🙂
5. I didn’t feel like having the pumpkin ravioli on Wednesday night…. so we had breakfast for dinner instead! I made these chocolate chip pumpkin pancakes! They were so decadent, but delish!
Anyway, that’s it! Let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments below! Â Have a great weekend!

Breakfast for dinner – it’s been way too long. I’m not usually a pumpkin-flavored stuff fan, but those do sound really good. And thanks for the recommendation on the backpack – I’ve been considering one of those as we moved out of the Baby Bjorn ages ago (the kid is just a bit heavy for me!), but it would still be nice to have a carrying option vs. the stroller. Have a great weekend!
I think breakfast for dinner needs to happen on a regular basis. It was just too delicious. And I never have that kind of determination for breakfast at breakfast time.
The Chicco carrier is good! It’s not as comfortable as the $300 versions we tested at REI, but I think it’s comfortable for a $90 carrier! And for a short hike, it’s just fine. But definitely more comfortable than the Bjorn.
Walker toys are a fave around here too! Love the facial expression too. And I love pumpkin pancakes, I say they are always a great option for dinner 🙂
She’s obsessed with the walker toy. I was about to let her walk up and down the driveway today, but then I realized the kid has no true outdoor walking shoes!! A trip to the mall may be in order 🙂
I am on the lookout for some walker toys for the near near future for my little guy. I’ll have to look into this one. Enjoyed reading your Friday Favs and I am going to be following along.

The one we got was a great one! I actually was debating whether or not to get one, but when this showed up as a gift, and I saw how much Elizabeth loved it, I think it’s definitely a must buy!! Glad you stopped by!! I’ll definitely swing by you and visit 🙂
Way to go with your Insta and YouTube subscribers!! Pretty cool!
Thanks! The numbers are still small in the grand scheme of things, but considering I started them both from scratch, I’ll take it 🙂
Love little walkers- they are wonderful! That’s awesome with growing social media! Yay!!! Stopping by from the link party
Glad you stopped by!
I don’t know why we haven’t gotten a walker toy yet, but Elizabeth was getting by with pushing her high chair around, so I thought we were set 🙂 Boy was I wrong!!
So cute!!!
Breakfast for dinner rocks! We love eggs and toast as an even quicker dinner!
Genius! I love that idea! That’s super simple!
That VTECH walker toy is still one of Olive’s favorites! We’ve even taken it apart and taken the sound/interactive portion on road trips. It’s the best toy!! That hiking backpack sounds amazing. I’ll have to look into that 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend.
The sound portion – I’m glad it has an off switch 😉 But she absolutely loves it! So if it gives me 10 minutes to make dinner, I’m sold! The backpack is pretty nice. Elizabeth loved being in it, and it’s pretty comfy for a short hike (an hour?). Definitely worth the money, I think!
Found you through the link up, cute site! Love that Target dress, checking it out now!
Glad you stopped by!!! I love that dress too. So easy to get different looks.
Yay for increasing the # of followers! And the struggle is real when you’re buying clothes with a toddler along!!!!
Toddlers are natural deterrents for buying clothes! 🙂
