Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by Katie, Caitlin, Tif and Della! If you want to know more, read about it here!

This week’s featured blogger is Sarah at Coffee & Glitter! She is just a hoot! Sarah recently blogged about vacationing in your own hometown, which is such a cool idea. Swing over and say hi!
We pick a new blogger each week to feature, so be sure to stop by and check them out!
FELLOW BLOGGERS: We are switching things up a little bit for the link up! Be sure to read down below! It’s a good thing, don’t worry.
Here’s what we were up to this week! I was really quiet this week on the blog (sorry!) but that doesn’t mean we had nothing going on at home!
1. Our weather was so beautiful this week! We spent a lot of time outside, enjoying the sunshine! But we have a new way to walk in the neighborhood. Elizabeth walks, while I push the stroller with her BFFs (Peppa Pig and Dolly). We stop every few feet to pick flowers (aka weeds). It’s slow, but sweet!
2. My first Stitch Fix has in fact arrived! I meant to take outfit shots this week for a post next week, but that just didn’t happen (so did a lot of things!). I’m still planning on sharing what I got next week!
3. I spent a lot of time on the computer this week, catching up with obligations and projects (that just weren’t blog related!). I usually just sit at my kitchen table. This week I picked up a few bundles of hyacinths, and they smelled so lovely! Too bad we discovered that both hubby and Elizabeth got allergies from them! I had to toss them!!
PS – I bought a few new Moleskine notebooks. I love that light purple color – so pretty!
4. My skin is naturally thin and translucent, and when I get cold, my finger joints and feet get a slight blue tint to it. But this week I’ve glanced down several times where my fingers are legit blue!! The pic may be hard to see it, but I was changing a diaper, and looked down and saw blue fingers! I hollered for the Hubby Doctor, and he snapped a pic. Does anyone else get this? It’s just downright weird and freaky! And this week, I wasn’t cold… so weird!
5. So last night, as I was messaging back and forth with my fellow H54F co-hosts Tif, Caitlin, & Della, and was complaining sharing that I had a really busy week this week but I really didn’t have much to talk about. Well, the good Lord heard my cry and decided last night was the night to drop my engagement ring down my bathroom sink. I may have swore, and then ran to get the hubby. Panic City!! After a trip to Lowes at 9:30PM to buy a bigger wrench, he was able to rescue my poor ring. I felt so bad, but grateful it was a fairly simple rescue!!
And for a 6th, how about this funny, captured at the Durham VA Hospital:
Sage words of wisdom!
Have a gloriously happy, wonderful Easter weekend! (And a good Final Four! Go Duke!!)

I have to remember that phrase. Not my circus, not my monkeys. I love that. I just discovered Peppa Pig and love it. I’m glad to know your ring was saved. Whew.
Peppa Pig just cracks me up! And I know, I’ve caught myself saying that phrase a few times over the weekend. Shoot – my husband said it to me when he came home from work tonight! It’s like the new inside joke 😉
I am so thrilled that I am the featured blogger! I have dropped a ring…or two down the drain before and that is scary stuff! It is a good thing you hubby rescued it! Have a great weekend!
I’m glad he knew what to do! I’d probably STILL be laying on the bathroom floor, crying. And we’re glad you were featured!!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend 🙂
I’m so glad you were able to get the rin out of the sink drain and everything was okay, that must have been scary. I am always so worried I am going to drop mine down there and it’s not a diamond.. yet.
This is so random but my nephew is obsessed with peppa pig, and i had no idea that it’s not only in Australia. I could have sworn it was just as aussie thing as I had never heard of it prior to moving down under.
Your flowerrs are looking gorgeous girl, and the notebook looks perfect along side them. Have a wonderful weekend!!
Peppa Pig sure is cute! She’s a little sassy and bossy, but I like it as much as my toddler does! But the only reason I know it exists is from YouTube British vloggers. But it’s cute 🙂 And those flowers were really pretty! Until I had to toss them because it made my husband sneeze. So sad!!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I think this new idea is great! I would love to connect on social media with y’all! I would prefer Twitter, but you can follow me on all of them. If you go to my blog, there are follow buttons on the right sidebar.

Oh my gosh… your ring story. That is pretty much my worst nightmare! I love the new idea about connecting on social media. I’d love to connect on Instagram… @katkuehl. All of the follow buttons for my social media accounts are in the right sidebar of my blog!
xoxo
Kat 🙂
Oh it was horrible – watching it slip through the drain… all slow motion. But it’s back! I’m glad you like the idea of connecting other ways. We thought it would be such fun! And I’m following now 🙂
Glad you were able to get your ring back! That would be a scary thing to lose!
I prefer Instagram, my username is nicole2450 I have a link to it on my blog (at the top in the sidebar) 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Oh man, it was absolutely scary! But it was a huge relief to get it back. It hasn’t really left my finger since. And I love Instagram, too! Following! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Shwoo that was a close call. So glad that worked out great. I can only imagine your panic!
That bonus #6 sign. Bahaha ha!!! I love it.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Panic, swearing, tears. It was all there!! 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! And following!
So glad you and your lit’l sweetie have been enjoying some fun in the sun this week! Looking forward to seeing what’s in your stitch fix! 😉 I took a big sigh of relief for you when I heard that your ring was rescued!! (:
Hooray for that!! Have a beautiful Easter weekend!! xo
HAHA I took a big sigh of relief too! My husband and I both held our breath while he was taking the sink apart, waiting for the “clunk” of the ring!
Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!
Love that poster! LOL! Good advice!
HA! I know 🙂 I need to remember it more often!
SO glad you found your ring. Somehow in the seven years I have been married I haven’t lost my ring yet or had any close-calls…. but I am sure one day I will! And I’m so glad you are getting nicer weather already. We are enjoying the sunshine too!
Oh yay! We’re seven years married too! Woohoo! So, I guess if it’s happened to me, watch out! Maybe it’s a seven year thing 😉
Whew – I’m so glad you recovered your ring! I’m always afraid I’ll do that! Happy Easter weekend 🙂
I’m glad too! As I told my husband, I haven’t managed to do that in the 8+ years I’ve had that ring, so there’s something! 🙂
I am really excited to hear what you think of your first Stitch Fix! I have never heard of this blue hand condition – mine only turn blue when I wear dark denim and put my hands in my pockets too much. haha! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend
Bwahahahahaha! That could very well be it! I always have those too-dark jeans that need turning inside out 🙂 I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, too!
Not my circus, not my monkeys! Haha, I love that and have said it often 🙂 your daughter is such a sweet little bundle of cuteness! I am a new follower on youtube and IG and FB. Thank you for hosting. Blessing to you as we celebrate our risen Savior!
HAHA isn’t that saying a hoot? I love it! I know I’ve heard it before, but it just seemed so right. Following you back! Yay!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter yourself!! What a joyous weekend!
Whew. So glad you got your ring back!
Me too!!
Katie – I’m so glad that your hubby was able to retrieve your ring! Phew! Something similar happened to me about a year ago, but it happened with a necklace pendant my hubby gave me for Valentine’s Day. Thankfully, it was retrieved from the pipes as well. In terms of your fingers, maybe you need some stylish gloves without fingertips! 🙂
HAHA Yes! Gloves! That’s the answer! And I’ve basically avoided removing my rings since Thursday night. Just to be safe 🙂
So scary about your ring!! I’ve temporarily lost mine putting sunscreen on, then hopping out of the car during a drop off and forgetting drag in St. Joe looking in the middle of the street– what terror and so close to tears! Thankfully I found them and I’m glad you found yours, too!!
How scary! Glad you were able to get your ring back! My hands are very translucent and turn blue when I’m cold too!
