I have been waiting for a while to spill the beans on this announcement. It’s really exciting!
We found out we were having a baby boy last week, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This is the third generation for my husband’s side of the family to have a boy and girl. My husband is excited to have a little buddy and I’m excited to have someone help with yard work. HA! Elizabeth has also caught the baby “bru-der” fever and talks about the baby a lot.
I am officially 19 weeks (!!) and I can’t believe this time around it took us so long to announce this. We only officially announced on FB (the official way to announce all things these days) last week. And we chose to do it in the most mundane way, saying “Official Facebook Announcement: We’re expecting a baby boy in June!”. HAHA! A real reversal from our first pregnancy!
If you’ve been wondering why things are so quiet around here the last 3 months, I can explain. Pregnancy Exhaustion is a real symptom, and it hit me hard! I swear, I could fall asleep on the sofa at 5:00PM every day. I haven’t really caught up since the busyness of October and the church building project… But I’m rebounding now!
These next few months have a lot of changes coming! Elizabeth gets to potty train (yay for her!) and move to a big girl bed soon. I get to enjoy the ever-expanding belly… which I swear is MUCH bigger this time around. And I will keep Tums in business by eating a large bottle every month.
But, all joking aside, we’re excited! I won’t go Baby Overload here on the blog, but I’m sure I’ll thrown in a pregnancy related post or two each month.
There are so many blogger friends who are expecting this year too! It will be a fun year for new babies!

Congratulation to you and your family. That are great news. I’m a little late to this, because i had a hard time reading this blogpost. It was this kind of a post i wanted to write in january when i found out beeing pregnant in october. Unfortunally a few days before christmas, there was an ultrasound showing some heart issues on our little one. When i was 16 weeks pregnant, in the first week of january, i had to give stillbirth to our baby. It was the most heartbreaking experience in my life. I still don’t know how to recover. Talking about it is still so hard, but writing is a little easier and it helps me somehow.
With this experience in my mind, i will pray for a healthy pregnancy for you and your baby boy!
