H54F - A weekly link up, hosted by Cup of Tea, Bright on a Budget, Coffee with Caitlin & Della Devoted

Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by me, TifDella, and Caitlin! If you want to know more, read about it here!

If you’re new to High Five for Friday, welcome! We’re so happy you’re here! When you link up below, could you add a * after your name? That way we all know you’re here for the first time and can come say hello!

Justine from Full Hands Full Heart

This week’s featured blogger is Justine from Full Hands Full Heart. She blogs all about her sweet, full life as a mom to 4 (almost 5!) kiddos. I absolutely laughed out loud over one of her confessions this week – that she hates the sound/feel of sidewalk chalk! I do too! And I love her recent post on planning menus out a month at a time. So smart! I need to include a few of her tips into my own routine. Go over and say hello to Justine!!

So… here’s what we were up to this week!

We were sick… STILL!!! I’m still suffering as I type this. This has been the longest cold/sickness ever. It all started Wednesday last week and it’s still going. Elizabeth, thankfully, seems to be almost herself, and my husband is back to normal. I, on the other hand, am still suffering from a cough/sore throat, and now some sinus pressure.

Shoot me now.

The only thing actually accomplished this week was binge-watching House of Cards! SUCH a good season, and weirdly parallel to current times. If you have yet to watch Season 4, I’d recommend re-watching Season 3. Or EVEN start again at Season 1. There is a lot of reference to what happen in the first few seasons that we had a hard time remembering… now, granted, we’ve been sick. But we would have benefited from a series rewatch.

I also finished up Downton Abbey. SO many tears shed over that last episode. It was a great end to a great series. Did anyone else watch it? What did you think?

Have you seen this? HILARIOUS!

I also couldn’t resist sharing this. I love ANY of the Bad Lip Reading videos, but this one was so funny! Even though I’m a Republican, I’m always for a laugh!

So I’m hoping this weekend we’ll be able to finally kick this cold completely, and back to the regular program this week. Ugh….

Thanks! I don’t think it’s the flu… Just a cold that has made new issues as it goes… I’m not normally a medicine taker, but I’m so annoyed I can’t right now!! Oh well…

I’ve been sick since last Wednesday too!! It’s such a pain! (Although I might have now transitioned into allergies since it’s been 80 this week!) I’m in the same boat with sinus pressure and might have whined, “My face hurts!” at one point this week 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend and feel a little better!

Yes this sinus pressure!! Let’s whine together. Misery loves company ? hope you can rest up this weekend!!

We recently started House of Cards and love it! It’s intense! I still need to watch the last season of Downton- waiting for it to come on Amazon. I hope you feel better soon! I hate cold sinus stuff! No fun at all- esp when you have a little one to care for

House of Cards season 1 is intense for sure! But really good. I’m not sure how much of the episodes from this last season you can catch, BUT PBS has the last Downton episodes online for streaming free!

I’m so sorry to hear about the ongoing sickness, sweet friend! Praying for you!! I, too, cried through the finale of Downton! I thought it was perfect! The video you included of some of the cast doing a scene with an American accent was too funny! We love bad lip reading vids at my house too and I was excited to see you share one we haven’t seen yet…I clicked play, then thought I better wait to watch it with Jason – lol! 😉 Hope your weekend is a good one and allows you much needed rest! xo – Brenda // Chatting Over Chocolate

Sorry to hear you all are still sick. This has been going on forever and I feel for you. Fingers crossed it ends soon. I am binge watching HOC too. I lost my way in season 3, I thought it got complicated but people are saying how good season 4 is so I am wrapping up season 3 to get to it. That bad lip reading was so funny! I don’t know how they do they do that! Have a great weekend!

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. Being sick stinks! I have to catch up on House of Cards. I think I’m only halfway through Season 2. Have a great weekend!

  6. Kat says:

Sorry you haven’t been feeling well! But, I pretty much love any excuse to binge-watch “House of Cards”. We’re a little over halfway through this season—so good so far!

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well still! 🙁
My husband has been trying to talk me into House of Cards, but I am not a Kevin Spacey fan. I may have to give it a try though. I keep hearing how great it is!
Have a great weekend. Hope you feel better soon!

Bless your hearts, I’m sorry you’re still not well! We’ve been in that boat this week too and it’s no fun. Praying that next week will bring good health for your family!

House of Cards was AMAZING! Wish we hadn’t watched it all already. Maybe we need to start from the beginning now ☺️
