This was a really fun post! I love hearing about other peoples Christmas traditions! My family doesn’t have too many. My mom let us pick out a Hallmark ornament (she still does!) which always was whatever we liked or were into that year.
I love the idea of picking out an ornament that represents what the year was like for you and your husband! I’m going to have to remember that for when I get married. If I can ever find a husband! haha
We always made a family trip out to cut down our Christmas tree. It was always freezing cold out! There was a really nice farm where I grew up and we would cut down our tree and then we would get hot chocolate and candy canes and drink that while my dad spent, like, an hour tying the tree to the roof of the car haha
Growing up, Santa always brought the stocking and one big Christmas gift. Although now that I’m older I totally agree with your husband; why should Santa get all the credit?
We used to open one present on Christmas eve, but now that my siblings and I are older we just wait until Christmas morning.
On Christmas eve I’ll make snacks and appetizers and my family will eat those while watching Christmas movies.
And then on Christmas day I’ll make a special breakfast of something we don’t typically have (usually cinnamon rolls) which we’ll eat after opening presents. And then a couple years ago we started doing Christmas crackers which are really fun!
