Hello hello! Hope you all had a glorious week!
First up, before we get rolling, I am so excited that we are only 3 weeks away from the Fall version of the 30 Outfits in 30 Days Challenge! I’m already starting to go through my clothes to figure out what I’d like to include in the 30 items. If you’d like to catch up with my last challenge, start with this post.
If you are interested in joining in with me, I’ll be kicking off with my choices on October 2! Prepare yourself!
Onward!
1. Seriously, these last two weeks felt like 5 weeks, and I’m pooped. It seemed like every personal event, work deadline, major blog series and church commitment coincided with this week. I’m just trying to get to Friday night, y’all. I mentioned on Wednesday that I was just failing at blogging, left and right. Your comments were just so sweet and encouraging! So thank you! I consider blogging my hobby, but I have so enjoyed making friends through this!
2. I got 2 new shirts from Boden, and I’m just so excited to wear them in the 30×30 challenge! Although, I posted on Instagram that one of them had a not so Mommy Friendly tag. Le sigh…
3. Elizabeth turned 11 Months yesterday! Yippee! She has decided to celebrate by getting a cold. Poor thing! Which meant she wasn’t enthused about taking her pictures…
4. It’s finally starting to feel like Fall around here (early Fall, anyway). It’s been cooler and we’ve had lovely rainy days. Even when it was warm, the humidity felt lower. I even got a small glimpse of Fall on one of our walks!
5. I signed up for the Mug Swap over at But First, Coffee, and was lucky enough to get a chance to swap with the hostess, Kallie! I received mine earlier in the week. She sent me a 2 mug set and some Autumn Tea that smells like Autumn in a mug. Not to mention its a flavored tea that’s a black tea. A rare thing!
Anyway, that was my week! It felt like a lot of grumbling. Sorry about that! (vacation is coming… vacation is coming…)
Let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments below! Have a great weekend!

My little one has a cold too! I hope both are babes get better asap. Stopping by from the link-up.
Glad you stopped by! I’ll swing by to you too. Ugh, colds are just the worst. This is her first big one, so I guess I should be grateful we’ve made it this far. But jeepers! Someone call me when it’s over. Hope your little one gets better soon!
Can’t wait to see your 30×30 selections and outfits! I’m loving my fall capsule, and with 37 items I’m feeling like I’ve got way more good selections than I need… so far. Also, can you believe we’re this close to first birthdays?! Hendrik turns 11 months on Monday.
I am loving your Fall Capsule wardrobe so far! I really keep looking at my clothes right now and thinking “Do I really need this? I never wear it!”. I just can’t wait for it to get cooler!
The 1 year birthday. I seriously can’t believe it. I was out of breath and and couldn’t wait for Elizabeth to arrive this time last year! Crazy!
Thinking about doing a Fall Capsule wardrobe since I’ll be moving from CT to Atlanta in October. I will REALLY have to adjust my current fall wardrobe to the new 70° temps in the South…which I can’t wait for!!! How hard is it? Any suggestions?
Good question! I guess it depends on what you love in your Fall wardrobe! For me, I loved all my fall jackets, and, to be honest, down here you just don’t need them for quite a while. So that was sad to purge those. I did hold on to blazers, since they are so timeless. Since moving here, some of my favorite fall outfits have been flats or boots with skinny jeans and a safari jacket, OR a cute striped dress (or even one from summer!) paired with tights and boots. Looks like fall, but still cool in case it’s a random hot day.
Good luck planning your capsule wardrobe! Glad you stopped by!
I need to look into that mug swap! Looks like fun 🙂
Happy 11 months to Miss Elizabeth!!
It was tons of fun! If you search for #BFCmugswap, you can see everyone else’s pictures. Great stuff!
Aww! What a perfect mug for you! All the rain we had on monday was so lovely–but yesterday here was an absolute steam bath! Ugh! Ready for fall full time 🙂
It so was the perfect mug 🙂
I know, I’m really anxious for the cooler weather to kick in. The rainy weather was such a tease!
I’m just loving your blog name… I’m a huge tea fan as well!! Your baby is sooo cute!
YAY! Glad to know another tea drinker 🙂 Actually sipping one as we speak (or type). Such a sweet comment about little Elizabeth – thank you!
My little guy has been cold-free for so long that i just know it is coming. Is there anything worse than a sick baby?! I don’t think so. And a mug swap… what a cute idea!
The mug swap was such fun! When I saw it, I just knew I had to join.
Elizabeth held off too until now for her first major cold. She had one 24 hour sniffle. Sigh… it’s just so sad.
I love finding trees with just a hint of color…it’s a nice promise that the humidity is leaving! 🙂 I hope next week is kinder than this one was. Enjoy the weekend!
Yes! Shoo humidity, don’t bother me! Thanks! Hope you have a fun weekend yourself!
It often seems in life that the busiest and biggest events all decide to happen right around the same time!
Most definitely true! Whether it’s good or bad!
My little one has been sick for two weeks. He has had bronchitis so I feel your pain. I hope your little one starts feeling better soon. I’m excited about this fall weather. It’s my favorite time of year.
Oh no!! Poor guy 🙁 so sorry to hear this. Hope he’s doing better now. Being sick just takes a lot out of them, and I’m sure you’re feeling drained as well!! Hugs!
I really want to try to do the 30 outfits challenge with you! Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
Blogging is my hobby too and definitely not something I strive to turn into a paying job. 😉 But I think part of why I feel the pressure to post and post often is because there ARE so many paid bloggers who do an awesome job at creating beautiful content. It’s inspiring, but also a little daunting when you’re a full-time mommy with other commitments and no babysitter/nanny. 🙂 Don’t let yourself feel bad for the days that slip by, it shows your priorities are in the right place for you and your family!
That’s such a sweet thought. Thank you for the encouragement!!
Yes! Join in on the fun in October! I’m really excited for it.
Awwww, cute mug!
Thanks!! I was so excited when I opened it!
I’m so excited to see what you choose for your challenge! I want to do it but I have commitment issues when it comes to clothes.lol Hope you’re having a wonderful week!
