Halloween 2015!

Happy (few days after) Halloween!! I hope you had a wonderful time doing all kinds of fun, spooky things.

I thought it would be fun to share a few pics and videos from our Halloween this year. We didn’t do a ton of Halloween-related activities, but did manage to pull together a costume (borrowed!), get some candy, and open the door to trick-or-treaters.

Can we talk about how hard it is to take a picture of a toddler?? I took about 100 pictures… and almost all of them either had a blurry body part, or Elizabeth wasn’t looking at the camera. Thankfully, it only takes one (or two) to get a good picture.Halloween 2015 Recap on the Cup of Tea blog!

Elizabeth adored her little doggy costume! We borrowed it from a friend, and it was a huge hit with this girl! She loved the big tutu (she even developed a little sashay when she walked) and those doggie ears.

I know she also loved having her “liddle doggie nooooose”. Liquid eye liner in felt tip pen form for the win!

We opted not to go door to door this year. Neither mommy nor daddy had the energy for it. And we didn’t think she’d last long. We thought she’d have a lot more fun this year waiting for the doorbell to ring. And she did! She got so excited to go see the “kids” and hand out candy. And all the kids had fun seeing her too. It was a win-win!

Easiest way to get a good smile from a toddler? Let them see themselves in the camera. HA!

In other Halloween-related news, there were a few Vlogtober videos that went along with the theme! My favorite is this one all about Halloween candy. I cracked myself up a few times when I was editing (which, to be honest, isn’t hard…. but still funny!).

And finally, want to see what we were up to Halloween night? I filmed a quick vlog as the last installment of Vlogtober.

How was your Halloween? Start any fun, new traditions? Did you stay in or go out? Let me know!!

Adorable! I love that the costume has a tutu. And yes, thank goodness for digital cameras so you can take a million at once… I keep forgetting that I really need to put my camera on sport mode to try to prevent some of the blur, ha.

Oh sport mode!! I need to remember that. We put ours in rapid fire mode. Sounds like we are paparazzi but we are guaranteed to catch that half second smile. ?

Elizabeth is the cutest little doggy!! It’s so much fun when the love their costumes. Olive enjoyed seeing the kids and giving out candy, too. Looks like you had a great weekend and your porch looks lovely!!
