This week’s featured blogger is Katie from Preppy Empty Nester. True to the blog name, she and her husband are empty nesters in Massachusetts with two grown daughters and a dog named Chowder (or “Chowdah” if you’re from that neck of the woods). Swing over and say hello!!
We are all finally sort of, kind of on the mend. Elizabeth is 100% back to normal while I’m at about 90%. My poor husband appears to be back-tracking… but things are looking up!
Something exciting happened this week – Elizabeth FINALLY got in to her big girl bed! And the transition, so far, has been very smooth.
But it just felt like a good week to start back up the vlogs. I’m definitely rusty… but at least there is cute footage of Elizabeth seeing her bed for the first time AND a sneak peek at what her room is shaping up to look like.

I am going through a similar stage with my two year old at dinner time. My husband and I joke, since we transitioned her out of the high chair, she has errands to run at dinner time. We can’t keep her in he chair! My four year old goes through spurts where he eats and doesn’t eat, too. Last weekend, he ate three pieces of pizza and watermelon! That’s more than I ate!
Omg Elizabeth is too darn cute! I love her “kaboom” haha! I’m sorry you had such trials and tribulations finding a mattress–what a pain! Glad to hear you’re on the mend, and I definitely had that congested voice thing going on too, haha. Have a great weekend!
Elizabeth is so adorable!! Seriously that bed…precious. We buy a lot of vintage and antique furniture and it can be such a pain finding the right extras, not to mention expensive! Glad you were able to find a mattress that worked! We’re in about the same boat, winding down from the sickness with leftover congestion. Soon, my friend, soon!

I am glad you guys are feeling better (sorta)! That bed is sooooooooo cute! Elizabeth seemed thrilled! Miss. E is bad for not eating much at lunch, especially at the babysitter’s. I don’t worry too much because she eats breakfast and supper fine. It must be a toddler thing! Ha ha! 🙂
