This was a fun week full of family fun, which meant that there wasn’t a whole lot of blogging done. (Priorities)
1. We had SUCH a fun time going to see Daniel Tiger Live! Daniel Tiger was Elizabeth’s first favorite show. She even had a Daniel Tiger 2nd Birthday party. Needless to say, she was thrilled to be there! Singing along to songs, getting excited to see her favorite characters. Such love! (also check out that crossed foot pose. HA!)
2. In my Bible Study group this year, we are reading a book called How People Change. It’s an intense study working you through something God is compelling you to change about yourself, but recognizing that change only happens through Grace. Now that we’re back from Christmas, we were supposed to arrive with our “thing to change”…. mercy! I’m stumped! Tell me I’m not the only one – my mental thinking at the moment is there is nothing to change that “God should be taking His time to change”… meaning He has so many other more important things to do. And I can just tackle it myself. Anyone else struggle with letting God just do His thing without you interfering? (HAHA I think THAT’S my thing to change!)
3. Last night we had a fun date night! We hit up Costco, because it’s way easier to go to Costco without kids. And then we went to a burger place where we had a gift card. Low key but oh so wonderful! I’m loving our priority on weekly date nights. It’s been so nice! What’s your favorite date night?
4. William is crawling! Sort of… but he’s about 70% there. I’m excited for him, but already missing his “Sit and Stay” phase. Because once babies are moving, your job gets 100% harder! HAHA!
5. Tomorrow is a super exciting day! Tomorrow is our first service in our BRAND NEW CHURCH! It’s going to be a high day! I just can’t wait. The church has been physically under construction for 2 years, but it’s been a dream for 15 years for this church. So exciting! Follow me over on IG to see little sneaky peeks 🙂

Aww…her little pose is too cute! We often combine date night with a trip to the store and I don’t know why but it is just so much more fun together. Yes to letting God be in control….when you figure out how to make this easy pass that along will ya. Haha..Have a great weekend!

Phoenix started sitting up and getting on all fours this week. I am not prepared for him to be so mobile!! Enjoy your new church building!! We’ve been a part of several church plants and that is such an exciting time.
Mobile Babies are fun but it just ups the stress factor! 🙂 And it was a super exciting day yesterday! Jam packed and full! Hope you’re having a great weekend!

So excited for your first service at your church!! That’s awesome! Bravo on the weekly date nights – I love doing Costco with Paul. We usually go all out with that one and have their pizza or hot dog deal for our meal! 😉
I couldn’t convince hubby to do the Costco pizza… but I’d be down for that! It has been so great having date nights we can count on. Makes the week go by a little faster thanks to the anticipation.
I think it’s amazing that you can do a weekly date night. I wish! Shopping without kids though sounds like a dream! And how fun Elizabeth got to see Daniel Tiger! A weekly date night will only get harder to accomplish, so we’re making the best of it while we can 🙂 Watching Elizabeth WATCH the show was a hoot! I loved that so much. And it was a great first service! Long, but oh so wonderful!
Having to watch a newly-mobile baby sounds very overwhelming! #onlychildprobs And Elizabeth looks so cute! What a great dress for seeing Daniel Tiger! 🙂
HAHA mobile babies just mean you have to pay attention… no more “let me put you down here while I go over here”…. I need to be on my game. But thankfully Elizabeth is a tattle tale so I’ve got a second set of eyes 😉 Hope you’re having a great weekend!
I saw Mr. Rogers in person when I was little. It was so fun and special. I can only imagine how special the first service in your new church was. I hope you are having a terrific weekend!
