Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by me, BeckyTif, and Della! Come, read up on what we’ve been up to this week and get to know some amazing bloggers.

Remember, you can link up any 3 posts you want – regardless of content! Link up your favorite posts from the week that you want more people to read. Share away! And, of course, if you have a weekly recap post, link that up too! But we want to give you a chance to share your other content from the week.

Here were my favorites from last week!

This week, two posts stuck out because they featured my favorite print – gingham!! I loved Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine’s gingham favs round up, especially that red gingham shirt (from WalMart!). And Savvy Southern Chic featured fun ways to dress up gingham, even for the office!! And finally, I loved Kenzie from Connected In the Kitchen’s five favorites. The picture of her dad measuring salt – hilarious!!!!!

Can’t wait to read some more fun things this week!

Here’s what has been going on around here!

Our weekend was busy busy! Both of our families traveled down to celebrate William’s second birthday, so it was a weekend full of eating, chatting and fun!

But, in classic fashion, I was so busy enjoying the fun that I forgot to take a picture! HAHA!

One of the funnier moments was at church. It was the second round of the Mom Band! When there is no one available to lead the praise team and sing the songs, the moms step up! We always chuckle that we need to integrate some dance moves. Fact about me – I have zero issues talking in front of large crowds. I could even spontaneously stand up and give a speech with zero warning. I wouldn’t worry. But music?? If I do anything solo, I get significant stage fright! Singing, playing an instrument… if I stick out or am all alone, my knee caps shake!! So I definitely get a little nervous singing in the Mom Band. That’s why you have to throw in a dance move to distract everyone.

On Sunday, we had a small party for William! Every last Sunday of the month, we host a brunch potluck with our church buds. It just worked out perfectly to also throw in some cupcakes for William. But as our family started saying they were coming down for the weekend, I realized I needed to step up my party game beyond some cupcakes. So a quick order on Amazon prime got me some fun train-themed decorations.

And soon we had a Train party, complete with napkins that said “Two Two”.

The other fun thing that happened this week is that it was the start of Mom Camp! A friend and I started this last summer, and it was the best summer! Basically, each week has a fun theme, and we do fun activities and crafts around the theme. This week was Backyard/Camping! It’s fun having something fun to give inspiration for summer fun.

I should do a blog post about this, because it really is a fun way to have fun during the summer, especially if you approach the summer and get nervous that you won’t survive.

And now, it’s time to link up your posts! Can’t wait to cruise around and see what you all have been blogging about!
