Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by Katie, Caitlin, Tif and Della! If you want to know more, read about it here!
This week our featured blog is Becky at BYBMG! Her everyday, casual fashion looks are something I definitely identify with and love!! Swing by and say hi!
Here’s what I was up to this week:
1. Can’t let another Friday go by without saying THANK YOU to all who have been linking up with us for the last 4 weeks (shocked!). I’ve had such a wonderful time stopping by all of your blogs, leaving comments, and getting to know you. So thank you for linking up with us each and every week. We hope you’re having a fun time too!
2. I have been quiet on the blog this week! I managed to get only two posts in (Menu Monday and 11 DIY Valentine’s Day Cards) this week, plus today’s…. shameful. Just shameful. I suppose the positive is that I was busy with housework? I’ve mentioned before that when I get in a groove with one of my main responsibilities, its best to just keep doing it, until I loose my gusto.
3. I did something super glamorous – getting our cars’ tires rotated. So 2 trips to the tire store. But all was not lost! One of those trips involved a walk across the parking lot to Target. I snagged some fun stuff!
I found the cutest rain coat for Elizabeth. Once we tried it on, she wouldn’t take it off!
4. Not sure what this has to do with my weekly round up, but I was pretty bummed to learn C. Wonder has closed down!!! I was rounding up my girlfriends for a quick “going out of business” shopping trip, but learned our local store was already closed! Say what??? Why didn’t I snag those cute bee loafers sooner?
5. Confession – Elizabeth watches TV. There. I said it. Specifically, Daniel Tiger. It’s so cute! But while she may enjoy it, it’s mainly for my own benefit. This made the rounds around Facebook this week, and it made me laugh! 25 Reasons I Let My Kid Watch Daniel Tiger

Fellow bloggers – ready to join in the link up? Just write a blog post about 5 things that made this week awesome! It could be 5 memories/highlights, 5 pairs of shoes you wore, 5 “good job” comments you got, or 5 pieces of chocolate you scarfed down when no one was looking. Add your link to your blog post down below (make sure it’s your blog post, not your blog home page!!). Then be sure to link back to the link up by grabbing the H54F button!
Don’t forget to visit your fellow linkers and say hi!

How cute is that raincoat!!
I want one in my size!
We love Daniel Tiger! 🙂 It’s a pretty cute show, and I love how nice all the characters are…the little songs have been really helpful to my daughter in some areas (sharing, trying new things, etc).
Thanks for hosting! 🙂
We love Daniel Tiger too! And I’ve always got the ditties in my head hahaha! Thanks for linking up with us this week!
What a cute raincoat! 🙂 And is that the Oxo salad dressing shaker? I have one, too… so fun to make homemade dressings!
It IS an OXO salad dressing shaker! I don’t make my own salad dressings very often, and just bought it on a whim. And I really like it so far!
That coat is super cute! Your daughter is pretty cute as well 🙂 Target always has such great stuff, I always seem to spend too much money there!
Target! I almost added “Don’t go to Target” to my New Year’s Resolution list hahaha!!! And I think Elizabeth is pretty cute too! 🙂
I have been looking for a raincoat for my daughter for a long time now.. I am going to have to go to Target :)I hope you have a great weekend. Found you on the Link-Up

Go to Target!! They had a few cute styles. And even though this one was a tad bigger I think she’ll get some good wear out of it. She wore it today on our errand run and it was so cute! Glad you stopped by!!!
A trip to Target is always a great highlight to any week! Loving that Chambray shirt! I’m excited to discover this link up! Can’t wait to give it a go next week! Happy Weekend!
YAY! So glad you found the link up! Can’t wait for you to join us 🙂 And the Chambray and white shirts are so great! I’m a sucker for a good popover shirt. I think it’s my favorite style right now.
It feels so good to check those annoying tasks like car maintenance off your list! And that little raincoat is so adorable!!
Yes! I was glad to get it done. And my husband was glad I did it!!
I love Elizabeth’s rain coat!! I need to get Olive one for Spring. Those bath crayons and foam numbers seem like so much fun. I keep meaning to pick up a pack of foam letters, but forget. Maybe I’ll put them in Olive’s Easter basket 🙂
Sticking them in the Easter basket is a good idea! I had a set of foam numbers and blocks as a child, so as soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them 🙂 Target had that flower print and a coral pink coat with white anchors. Really cute! Do you have rain boots for Olive? That’s the next thing we need.
Z watches SuperWhy. 🙂 Ah, PBS kids. 🙂 It’s the only way I can get him to let me clip his nails.
Oh man… trimming nails. It’s a true battle of wills EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! Didn’t think about turning on her beloved Daniel Tiger!
That’s a crazy good Target haul… the rain jacket is SO cute, and I almost bought those little bath stickies too but try to be good and just walk by the dollar section since I know I’ll spend plenty of dollars elsewhere around the store 🙂 Might give in next time, they’re so fun.
HAHA I usually avoid the dollar section too 🙂 But Elizabeth really does have a limited bath toy selection, and they were too cheap to pass up!! And I really wish that rain jacket came in a bigger size for myself!!
That rain coat is too cute! There is just something about Target that makes it impossible to leave empty handed even just to go look around. 🙂
It’s so true! Can’t ever just go in to browse 🙂
This just makes me sad that all Canadian Target stores are closing, lol. Those bee loafers are cute, though! I wonder if you can order them??
I’m sad that the Targets are closing too!! Such a bummer. I do love those loafers! I don’t know why I didn’t think about trying to find them from another source! HAHA I should do a quick search!
My preacher made a comment on Sunday about a fast we are doing, that really stuck out to me. He said “grace, not guilt” and I think that can apply to all areas in our lives. I’m my own worst critic and I’ve really had to work hard to see the good things when my blog is slack. Good for you for getting house work done! And that rain coat is just too cute!
Love that – grace, not guilt. That may need to be my new slogan!! Thank you so much for the encouragement, Paige!
