Welcome to High Five for Friday – hosted by Katie, Caitlin, Tif and Della! If you want to know more, read about it here!
This week’s featured blogger is Erin at Sometimes Handmade! She does amazing, beautiful, but doable handmade projects. I always aspire to be that DIY girl, but projects often look intimidating. Not Erin’s projects! I really love this one on making your own monogram succulent planter. Stop by and say hi to Erin.
We pick a new blogger each week to feature, so be sure to stop by and check them out!
FELLOW BLOGGERS: We changed things up a little for the link up. Be sure to read below!
Anyone else sit down to write this post, confident you did a lot, and then can’t remember anything worth mentioning?? Sigh… me right now.
Anyway, here’s what we were up to this week, to the best of my knowledge.
1. It was quite the intense basketball week! And it was a good week to be a Duke fan! But, seriously, all the games were so stinking good this weekend. Even Duke vs Wisconsin was a nail biter all the way to the end. What a great tournament this year! I’ll just put it out there though. I’m clearly a good luck charm for sports programs. My beloved Ohio State Buckeyes won the national championship for football, and then Duke wins for basketball. Any teams want to persuade me to root for them???
2. Easter was tons of fun! I had been meaning to do a recap post this week, but it just didn’t happen. Is it too late to do one? Bottom line is it was wonderful! The Easter Bunny brought a basket. We went to two church services. Elizabeth got to do an Easter egg hunt with one of her BFFs. And we were pooped at the end of it all.
3. My favorite Instagram photos from the week: a quick DIY free kitchen using some bowls, measuring cups and oatmeal | making funny faces before bed | Elizabeth in all of her “Ralph Lauren dress from consignment shop” glory, and she was so darn cute! | making a run for it in the backyard
4. The last few weeks I’ve been visiting area gyms/fitness centers with a friend of mine. We’d like to join a gym that has fun classes that aren’t intimidating, and that has a nice child care area. The one we visited a few weeks ago was nice! It was huge, but quiet. It was also connected to the area Senior Center, which could be an advantage! I’d be the peppy, young one in all the classes! And then this week we went to our local YMCA, also really nice! However, the class going on at that time was the Bootcamp class, where I would not be the young, peppy one. I’d instead be the sluggish, lazy one. Not as enticing! HAHA!
5. If you missed them, I got up two style/OOTD posts this week. I’m joining In Residence for the Your Spring Style link up. This week’s post was all about Spring Transitions, so stay tuned for 3 more posts this month!
AND I finally got up my first Stitch Fix reveal. It was a good one!
Oh, and did you see my post about my Lilly For Target wishlist?
Shameless plugs over 🙂

Hahaha that picture still just cracks me up! I’ll be sure to follow!! I love Pinterest. Have a great weekend!
So once Duke beat the Utes, I started to cheer them on. So, yay for Duke!! I loved see your Stitch Fix review and the funny picture with the denim shirt. Those front snaps and buttons get me all of the time. Have a great weekend.
Hahaha those snaps! I literally snapped up, and the minute I breathed, they all popped apart! Haha! Button up shirts are so tricky to fit. Have a great weekend! And yay Duke!!
So glad you enjoyed such a wonderful Easter weekend! Loving the funny face snaps 🙂 That consignment shop dress is so cute on your lit’l sweetie pie! Heading over to check out your stitch fix reveal now 🙂 Have a lovely weekend, Katie!! xo
I’ve been really lucky at our consignment shops and finding nice dresses. Casual clothes, on the other hand… not so much. But thank you! Hope you had a wonderful weekend yourself!
Thanks for hosting. Preferred choice for following is instagram! Your expressions, crack me up! Love it.
HAHA Thanks! I know, expressive faces are my trademark 😉
Love all of this! I’m obsessed with Stich Fix! I’ve had mine on pause for the last few months while I spend that money on some other things but I’m itching to get back to it! Have a great weekend!!
I’ve been wanting to do Stitch Fix for so long, so it’s exciting to get started, AND to find something wonderful right off the bat! Hope you had a great weekend!
Hey Katie! Your blog is so cute. I love the funny pics with your kids and understand the struggle with finding a gym. Best way is to do what you are doing to try some out and see where you feel comfortable! I would love a follow! I follow you as well 🙂

Thanks!
Being comfortable at the gym is key! That’s why I like the idea of picking a place that has fun classes, so I can try different ones out! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! And you’ve got some new follows 🙂
Thanks for the feature this week!
I can relate to your memory fog on recapping the week. It’s great that you’re joining a gym with a friend. What a great way to stay motivated and accountable – plus get some quality time in with your friend.
Have a great weekend!
I figure we’re multitasking – friend talk (if we can actually talk… unless we’re too winded) and working out! Win Win! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
It’s never too late to do an Easter recap 🙂 Good luck with the gym search. That’s been on my radar, but I feel like I’d enjoy it more if I had someone to go with. Wish we were neighbors. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂
I wish we were neighbors too! The girls would have such fun playing together and we’d have fun gabbing! And you’re right – never too late for an Easter recap! (Or Easter decor tour… which I have pictures for but never posted haha!)
Not sure if they have it in your area, but there is this thing called Classpass where you can go 3 times a month to different classes in the area. They just brought it to Tampa and it’s a great concept! 🙂
I need to check that out! Thanks!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I am glad I’m not the only one who seems to forget everything I did in the past week when it comes to writing these posts! I try to write down some ideas early in the week, but then Thursday comes around and I’m all WHAT DID I DO??? Haha! Anyways, your pictures are great! And I liked your Stitch Fix review. My mom get her first box last month (she only kept one item) and her next box is coming soon. It’s not in my budget at the moment to do it, but I always like seeing what people get in them!
I think just getting the Stitch Fix box is the fun part! Such a surprise. I used to be so much better at remembering my week highlights… oh well 🙂
Thank you for sharing the Spring Style link up! I would love to join up for that. My favs for social media are Instagram and Pinterest… I love to be inspired by other people’s photos. Have great weekend!
I hope you do link up! I’m drafting tomorrow’s post right now! But love any style link up – so much inspiration! I’m always in need of that 🙂 HAHA! And following now! Hope you had a great weekend yourself.
I am still just loving those little piggy tails! Such a sweetheart. You got a great fix this week! Envious of that teal top. I wish I had that in my fix!
The top is great! So excited for the next box. And I was pretty jazzed when I got her hair into two (sorta) piggy tails! She loved them too – did a little dance in the mirror 🙂
Wow! You had a great week! I do the same thing when I sit down to write my H54F posts!

I would LOVE to see your Lilly wishlist! There are just so many amazing things to pick from!!
Cute pics! Glad everything is going well for your sports teams! I may have to get you to cheer on my favourite (Canadian) football team this year! They have been struggling! LOL. I am Twitter @peacefulsimple
HAHA I may be available for hire to cheer on other sports teams. I have a good track record so far 🙂 HA! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! And following now on Twitter! YAY!
Congrats on your NCAA championship! (Although as a Kentucky fan I hold firmly to #anybodybutduke. Ha! Sorry…)
Elizabeth is just so cute…love her in that little dress!
That was such a close game!! Honestly, the whole tourny was so good, but those last few games were great. Such great games to watch! And that little dress has become a favorite of mine for Elizabeth! Thank you! She’s worn it a few times in the last week. Not bad for a consignment shop find! 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
