Do you have all your Fall decorations up yet? This is my favorite time of year to decorate! And this year I loved the results so much that I decided to share a little fall home tour with you.
I am not a decorator. And my husband would say that I have too many knick knacks. But making the house look pretty is important to me! Plus it makes me smile. And everyone wants their house to make them smile, right?
Normally when I decorate for Fall, I decorate in a Fall Overload style withΒ leaves, pumpkins and details everywhere, and usually in oranges and reds. This year I toned it down a little. I stuck with a more neutral pallet, and where there are oranges and reds, I kept it minimal.
So enjoy the tour!
The fireplace mantle is pretty neutral, except for my DIY arrangement in the urn.Β I’m not the best arranger, but it turned out decent.
I kept it pretty simple in the kitchen. I just have one space where it’s decorated. I placed a little sign from the Target Dollar Spot, and then gathered a few silver items – a candle from Anthropologie and my tarnished ice bucket, with a napkin inside. (I like silver pieces tarnished a little!)
I’m most proud of how the dining room turned out! I purchased that table centerpiece at At Home a few weeks ago, but it looks fairly simple to make. I cobbled together the smaller arrangement, which sits on my buffet. Not a whole lot of reds and oranges here.
My china cabinet is so cute! That was a Craigslist score. I decided to display my Fall dishes and these acorn soup bowls that I have. It was pretty and practical.
One of the quickest ways to add decor ANY time of year is with a wreath. I showed you last year how to make a DIY raffia wreath! This year inside, I stuck with a few leaf wreaths. I placed one on the bathroom door (so guests can find the door easily!) and another over a small entryway table.
Finally, dressing up tabletops is my favorite thing to decorate! It’s almost impossible to decorate coffee and side tables when there is a toddler, but I never put anything on a table that is precious or expensive. I repurposed things in my house to create a few spots, like the lantern with the pumpkin and raffia. I also took my favorite rustic plate standish thing and put some faux pumpkins, raffia and a pheasant candle in it.
I hope you enjoyed a little peak at my favorite decorated spots in our house! Decorating for Fall is my favorite from the whole year, and I may just put it all back up after Christmas.
I did a little behind-the-scenes video of the fireplace mantle over on my YouTube channel for Come Home for Comfort‘s Vlogtober series. Check it out!

“I am not a decorator”. HA! Your house looks amazing. I am incredibly jelly of your skillz (yes, with a z).
So pretty!! I love the ivory, green and metalics you used. Such a classy combination. Your dishes look perfect on display and I love a good wreath. Great job π
Oh I love it all. It is so pretty and so simple. Do you do a Christmas decor tour too?! I co-host a holiday home tour every year so if you do you should totally link up with us! It is the one season I get a little crazy. I think I am putting up a record setting 5 Christmas trees this year.
Thank you! I always aspire to do a Christmas tour… but never get my act together. But I need to remember the link up!! 5 Christmas trees would be such fun! I’ve always wanted more than one. I guess last year we had 2 – Elizabeth had a teeny tiny table top one in her play room π
Beautiful! I’m more of a fall person but my husband is more of a Halloween person so we have a mix. π
A good mix is always appreciated! I’ll admit I decorate more for Fall so I can use it when Thanksgiving rolls around π Just pure laziness!
I love your mantle! Your entire dining room is so pretty! You really are a decorator! There is no such thing as too many knick-knacks! Ha!

Thank you!! And the dining room is my favorite room now! Too bad we’re hardly in there HAHA!
Love the quail – so old time charm!
It’s a candle and it will never be lit. It’s just so cute!!
Very pretty and classy. I love your decor!
Thank you!
It all looks so pretty! I especially like your fall plates and centerpiece on the table! I like to decorate for fall rather than Halloween. Just not a fan of the spooky stuff. π
That centerpiece was such a good find! Now that I can look at it up close, I think it’s an arrangement I could replicate each season. It’s just a low trough with big fluffy flowers (hydrangeas in this particular arrangement) a few larger objects (pumpkins) and then a few filler things… I may need to find myself a container and DIY another one for Christmas!!
Your pictures are gorgeous! I love your china cabinet – you styled it beautifully.
The china cabinet is fun to style with each season! It’s just so cute. I wish it wasn’t tucked away in a quiet corner of the house. Kind of wish it was in a high traffic area so I could stare at it all the time π
Gorgeous and like I said before your china is beautiful. Nice, simple taste. I am a fall decorator, not Halloween.
I’m all about Fall too. The most “Halloween” I get is a jack-o-latern or two. And thank you!!
Your decorations look gorgeous!! Can you do my house too?! π
HAHA! Sure!! π
Loved your tour! Fall is my favorite time of year on our little farm! Thanks for sharing some inspiration! I am always adding new things to my own decorations and love seeing what other Mommy bloggers are doing. God Bless,
